The castle of the Combonians with its towers dominates the town of Venegono Superiore. With over a thousand years of history, what was once born as a military outpost to defend itself from the invasions of the Hungarians has been modified several times over time until its present appearance. The castle, since 1921, is home to the Combonian Institute for Missions.
